Committee of Area Chairs
Structure & Appointment
The Committee consists of up to 21 elected AREA CHAIRS, each representing an AREA within Century Village East. If no one runs or a vacancy occurs, the COOCVE President may appoint an AREA CHAIR for a one-year term starting February 1st, with appointments expiring January 31.
Qualifications
AREA CHAIRS must be CVE property owners and meet the criteria established the COOCVE By-Laws Sec 10.2.
Responsibilities
- Elect a Chair of Area Chairs at the February meeting (or appointed by the COOCVE President if vacant).
- Hold at least six committee meetings per year, open to COOCVE Directors and residents.
- Conduct at least three unit owner or Association meetings annually.
- Submit reports to the Chair, who consolidates updates for COOCVE Board meetings.
- Stay informed by attending or reviewing COOCVE, CENCLUB, and MASTER MANAGEMENT meetings and communications.
- Serve as a liaison between associations, MASTER MANAGEMENT, and CENCLUB on common issues.
- Recommend initiatives to COOCVE, including; Educational programs and seminars, Website updates, and Committee role enhancements
This structure ensures that AREA CHAIRS serve as an effective bridge between residents, associations, and CVE leadership.
